network printer problem syn_sent

got this hp printer n2727 through network. however cannot print via network

do the ping
it says:
Ping statistics for 192.XXX.X.XXX:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),

do the netstat
it says:

proto address: 192.XXX.X.XXX
state : syn_sent

on / off the printer the problem for the printer also cannot . so how i suppose to solve the problem? :cool:

if your printer is in an office, it must be USB-linked directly to ONE of the computers in your network. If the pc that hosts the HP printer is not online, then you can't print. Or, in other words, your pc cannot "see" the printer yet because it hasn't been shared.

If you're printer is connecting to the network directly (the printer have it's own NIC built-in) then possible that the NIC module is faulty. This can be replaced, contact HP for more info & pricing.

If the printer is connected to another PC and shared it, then you will need to verify the PC's firewall or any internet security software aren't blocking it. Also when you try to ping, you're actually pinging that PC and not the printer.
