I've been using Kaspersky for the last 2 years, never had any problem or had to format my pc because of virus. Before that I've been using Avira Personal, not bad as it is free version. Still, it is way better than AVG! Recommended Kaspersky and also ESET Nod32.

Avira! Avira! Avira!

Why no vote option for this one?

avira first, then confirm with another scan by avg and then with 2 more spyware detectors...then to an online scan at Panda.com. That should do the trick.
